Why the “Asian” literature; why not just Literature or, if it is so? What makes the “Asian” in literature better or worse than any other human oeuvre? Identity politics, of course! And, what was the commonalities between these writers: Murakami, Chandler and Camus? Are you or is anyone who wrote this intro. serious?

it means it comes from asia…
i find it quite interesting knowing where things come from. helps with context when considering meaning and so on. some works do transcend these human constructs (time, place) but even so, it is nice to know.
